Braves Finish Off Season with Win on Jim Wynnyk Appreciation Night

After dropping there second loss of the season on Wednesday night vs. Newmarket 9-7. The Braves returned home for there final home game of the season and Jim Wynnyk’s final regular season home game of his career vs Vaughn. Tyler Whealy provided stellar pitching going 7.0 innings strong and leaving with a 2-1 lead. In the 8th there was a slight falter on defence and pitching which saw the Braves going into the bottom half of the 8th down 3-2. After some crafty and great at bats Chris Nolfi provided the jolt with 1 out to put the Braves back up 4-3. Adam Marra came in for the 9th inning and picked up the save/win after coming on with only 1 our in the 8th to get out of a jam.

The Braves enjoyed there best season of record finishing the year off 22-2.

 

Next up for the ball club is the Junior Elimination Tournament which goes from July 31-August 3 in Oshawa.
