Padmore fans 10 in CG, MacDonald flirts with history

Game 1:

High Park took down the Whitby Chiefs 12-5 in the first game of a double header. A.J. Padmore got into a bit of trouble early surrendering two solo homeruns but composed himself nicely. He picks up his first win of the season allowing 4 hits, 3 earned runs, walking 4… all while striking out 10 Chiefs’ batters. He’s starting to look as good as he did in his rookie season and will be a very important arm going forward.

Julian and Chris Nolfi each went 2 for 4 scoring twice. Chris’s two hits extend his hit streak, he ahs had a hit in every game thus far.

Game 2:

Chiefs’ just couldn’t get to High Park veteran Kevin MacDonald in the 10-1 win. MacDonald was perfect through 2 and two thirds innings when a single broke up his perfect bid. He would go on to record 7 strikeouts over 7 innings of work allowing just 1 run. The 7 strikeouts for MacDonald are a season high for him in a single game.

Chris Nolfi recorded another hit so the streak stays alive. Dennis Dei Banning knocked a triple along with a sacrifice fly capping off his 3 RBI game. Lucas DaSilva had himself a night adding 3 hits.
